Friday, October 19, 2018Roger and I were saddened to hear of Helen's passing. We are sending our condolences to you, Harry. We know she is in a better place with no pain or sorrow and those who are left behind are the ones who bear great sorrow. I have very fond memories of Helen and you, as a child then later as an adult. I picture her smiling face and her greeting "Honey". May sweet memories of her and God's grace sustain you. And the fact that you will see her one day, as well as, our Lord and Savior.

Tuesday, October 16, 2018Dear Harry, I was honored to have been called your friend. My love and affections are sent to you. I've thought of the two of you so many times throughout these last several years. When my heart was broken, you and Helen were there to love me and listen to my pain and grief. Helen was a "JOY!" Happiness is the word that really fits Helen, from my opinion. She exuded love for others. She exuded excitement and when I visited with Helen(and you, Harry) you made me feel like I was the only one that mattered during those times. Hospitality was the way you lived. May God comfort you in these times of extreme loss. Knowing this is not the end of Helen's life is the Christian's promise from our all loving Father in Heaven. Loving you with fond remembrance. Monday, October 15, 2018Helen Gates was a beloved family friend of nearly 50 years. To say that we adored her isn’t nearly enough. One of my favorite childhood memories was staying with her and Harry during the holidays with my sister. We felt so spoiled with the gifts they gave us and the love they surrounded us with. Having had a troubled childhood, my visits with Helen and Harry were always a special treat and an escape. Helen was such an incredible example of love, graciousness, compassion and class. My life was so much better for having known her. I will miss your sweet smile, Mrs, Gates. Thank you for the difference you made in my life.

Friday, October 12, 2018Michele & I will certainly miss Helen. We have always considered Helen as our extended grandma, dear friend and most of all; our sister in Christ. We hold up Harry; our dear brother in Christ, in our prayers and thoughts as well as the extended family. If you were to look up the word;Hospitable in the dictionary, it should mention Helen's name. This was one of the many gifts of the Spirit Helen portrayed. Michele and I take great comfort, that her passing is but for a short time in lite of spending eternity with Helen one day! John 14 We love you! Paul & Michele

Thursday, October 11, 2018Gramma/GiGi played a crucial role in my life. She taught me to love Christ to put my husband next and build my home by her example. I believe every person that had an opportunity to interact with her were blessed by her love. She loved my children with great love and affection. My heart is so full with what she poured into my life. Her favorite song is simple but explains her heart, "Jesus Loves You". I miss her voice already and looking forward to forever in the Kingdom of God with her.
