Obituary of Geraldine Dillenback
Geraldine Dillenback, 100 passed away Saturday evening at the home of her care-giver in Clayton, N.Y.
Geraldine was born January 25, 1918 in Watertown, NY the daughter of Russell and Hazel White. She graduated from Watertown High School. She worked at Bagley and Sewell in Watertown during World War 11. She later became the secretary for Thousand Islands Ready Mix Concrete in LaFargeville owned and operated by her husband and sons.
Geraldine married James H. Dillenback on July 17, 1947 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Watertown. The couple resided in Dexter all their married lives.
Geraldine was a member of the Dexter American Legion Auxiliary, Dexter Free Library, Dexter Historical Society, was a volunteer at Samaritan Medical Center Gift Shop, Dexter Senior Citizens and a communicant of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Brownville.
She is survived by two sons and their wives: Thomas and Mary Dillenback of Fisher’s Landing and Steve Dillenbackof Wellesley Island. Grandchildren are: Jennifer and Leon Moylan, Chris and Leigh Dillenback and Sean and Meghan Dillenback.
She was predeceased by her husband James in 2003 and her grandson Timothy in 2010, and a sister Nadine Austin.
Funeral services will be Wednesday July 25th at 10:00 am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Ninon Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
