Robert F. Cratsenburg, 91 of Dexter passed away April 12th at Samaritan Keep Home where he was residing.
Robert was born May 22, 1926 in the Town of Lyme the son of Roy and Mildred Hass Cratsenburg. He attended school in Depauville and graduated from Clayton High School.
Bob served in the US Army from 1945 to 1946 in the Pacific Theatre. After returning home he married Geraldine A. Hall on April 10, 1948 in Depauville.
The couple lived in Dexter. Bob worked at Kamargo Furniture in Watertown and then he went to work for the City of Watertown as the Airport Manager until he retired in 1987. He was a member of the Dexter United Methodist Church, Dexter Fire Dept., American Legion Post 583, and served in the Dexter Village Board as a Trustee for 28 years.
He is survived by three children: Robert and Connie Cratsenburg of Mesquite, Nevada, Karen and Steve Cameron of Dexter and Donna and Rodney Kiefer of Calcium. He has six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and his beloved dog “Buttercup’”
He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine in 2015 and a brother Donald.
Funeral services will be Monday April 16th at 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with calling hours from 12-2 prior to the service. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
