Obituary of Robert Savage
Robert K. Savage, 87, of Dexter, NY passed peacefully on Sunday November 5th at Samaritan Medical in the loving care of his family.
Born July 12, 1929 in Pillar Point. He worked and lived on his family farm for many years. He attended Dexter school. He had several accomplishments:
61 years as a member of the Dexter fire hall some of those being fire chief. Founding father of the Jefferson County Fish Advisory Board. Owned and operated Reel Time Fishing Charter Boat. Proud member of Dexter Legion and the Mason’s. Often found on the lake or on his front porch of his house, He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Shirley Savage, his parents Roswell Flower Savage and Elizabeth Reed Jackson and several brothers and sisters along with his beloved dog “Rusty”. Surviving is his sister Jean Bloom of Arizona, his children and grandchildren along with several great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Friday November 10th from 6-8pm at Johnson’s funeral home in Dexter. Funeral service will be Saturday November 11th at 11am at the Dexter Cemetery.
