Charles F. Zeltwanger, 76, passed away Saturday evening February 18, 2017 at Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness.
Charles was born on March 3, 1940 in Watertown the son of Charles F. and Evelyn Randall Zeltwanger. He graduated from General Brown High School in 1959.
Charles married Nancy Glowaski on June 2, 1962 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, Dexter.
He entered the Air force in 1961 and served until 1967.
"Chuck owned and operated Daniels Auto Body Shop for several years in Glen Park with his step-father James Daniels and then worked for F.X. Capara Paint and Body Shop in Watertown. He loved to restore old cars.
Surviving is his wife Nancy, two daughters Dawn Cote of Dexter and Mrs. Richard (Julie) Munk of Glen Park, one son Charles F. (Stephany) Zeltwanger 3rd. of Sackets Harbor, a granddaughter Teasha Cote and three grandsons Bryan Munk, Eric Munk and Bryce DaFoe and great grandson Dylan Munk. He has two sisters Dawn Daniels of Limerick and Donna Warren of Brownville.
He was predeceased by his step-father James Daniels and a sister Sharon Beach.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday February 21st at 6:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 3:00-6:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service. A spring burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Dexter Volunteer Fire Dept.
