Nancy Lou Neumeyer, 84, of Dexter, New York, passed away on February 12, 2024, at the home of her granddaughter in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
She was born on May 22, 1939, in Watertown, New York, the daughter of Arthur M. and Mildred O. (Osborne) Walrath. Nancy graduated from General Brown High School in 1957 and married Charles B. Neumeyer on September 6, 1959, at the Dexter Methodist Church. The couple resided their entire married lives in Dexter.
Nancy worked at the Agricultural Insurance Company for two years and was a homemaker. She also provided childcare out of her home for many years. Nancy had a passion for music and sang with the Marty McCain Orchestra. She enjoyed collecting dolls and records.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Wendy Lynn Neumeyer, of Dexter, New York, two son-in-laws, Eric Strader, of Watertown, New York, and Tom (Gretchen) Lipinsky, of Rochester, New York, five grandchildren, Julia and Brett Bevens, Justin Smith, Kale Parker, Gretchen and Ceasar Lerena, Taylor Strader, and four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Austin, Dominic, and Za’Riah.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on May 7th at the Johnson Funeral Home, followed by burial in Dexter Cemetery.
